
Plant Metallurgy Expert – Automation & Control (Copper / APC / Process Control/ SCADA) – North Africa

Develop and maintain advanced process control (APC) systems to optimize copper recovery and plant performance.
Monitor and analyze real-time data from automation systems to identify inefficiencies and implement corrective actions.
Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to integrate digital tools, such as SCADA, DCS, and IoT solutions, into plant operations.
Conduct trials and simulations to test new automation technologies and control algorithms for metallurgical applications.
Ensure seamless integration of automation systems with existing plant equipment and processes.
Provide technical expertise and training to plant operators on automation and control system usage.
Support compliance with environmental and safety regulations through automated monitoring and reporting systems.
Contribute to budgeting and resource planning for automation and control initiatives.Requirements: Qualification and SkillBachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in metallurgical plant operations, with at least 5 years focused on automation and process control.
Proven expertise in copper processing, including familiarity with flotation, leaching, and associated control systems.
Strong knowledge of automation technologies, including SCADA, DCS, PLCs, and data analytics platforms.
Experience with digitalization initiatives and IoT applications in mining or heavy industry.
Excellent analytical skills for interpreting complex process data and optimizing control strategies.Benefits and Contractual information:Full-Time Position
