- Development of efficient numerical linear algebra algorithms, including sparse/dense linear systems solving and preconditioners.
- Scalable implementations of linear algebra methods targeting large-scale HPC systems.
- Optimization of linear algebra libraries for modern architectures (e.g., GPUs).
- Exploration of linear algebra methods in computational physics applications and machine learning.
- Integrate and benchmark the GINGKO library, a sparse solver that supports mixed precisions
- Conduct original research in numerical linear algebra and HPC.
- Design, implement, and optimize linear algebra algorithms.
- Publish research results in high-impact journals and conferences.
- Mentor students in related research projects.
- A Ph.D. (awarded or near completion) in applied mathematics, computer science, or a closely related field.
- Strong background in numerical linear algebra, algorithm design, and parallel computing.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as python.
- Experience with HPC environments and linear algebra.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research and publish in peer-reviewed journals.
- Location: College of computing, UM6P, Benguerir
- Duration: Initial appointment for 1 year, renewable for 1 year based on performance and funding availability.
