
Technical Sales Engineer

- Analyze client specifications and tender documents (technical specifications and commercial requirements).
- Propose appropriate technical solutions (overhauls, retrofits, new products, reverse engineering, spare parts, etc.).
- Coordinate with the operations team, costing, project managers, and other departments.
- Draft commercial offers including pricing, margins, commercial terms, and upload them to customer portals.
- Act as client's primary contact for the client on both technical and commercial matters.
- Present offers and lead negotiations through to order confirmation.
- Identify new service and sales opportunities with existing or prospective clients.
- Forward order files to execution teams in a clear and structured manner.
- Work closely with technical departments, operations, finance, HSE, and legal.
- Ensure adherence to Sulzer's internal processes, especially in terms of compliance and ethics.
- Basic knowledge of rotating machinery and industrial processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and engineering drawings.
- Good understanding of Incoterms, bank guarantees, and letters of credit (operational level).
- Proficiency in office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook) and CRM/ERP (an asset).
- Understand cost sheets and the financial implications of the offer.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Autonomy, rigor, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Teamwork and customer-oriented mindset.

- Frequent travel to customer sites (B driving license required)
- Engineering degree (Bac+5) in mechanics, electromechanics, or industrial maintenance.
- Evaluate and ensure that proposals are in line with customer specifications and requirements; analyze and propose advantageous alternatives suited to application needs.
- Define and propose solutions based on customer needs and the service/product offerings from Sulzer and subcontractors.
- Establish sales prices and gross profit in line with internal procedures and budgeted margins.
- Lead negotiations.
- Follow Sulzer's procedures and regulations, strictly applying the Sulzer Code of Conduct without exception.
- Collaborate closely with internal legal support to ensure that rules are properly applied and the potential risks that may arise from contractual conditions are known, measured and accepted.
- Basic knowledge of rotating machinery and industrial processes.
